Weddings in Kambones 1615

Slow Living, Big Love on Naxos Island

I come from Naxos, yet I often find myself dreaming of it—not just as a destination but as a way of life. The light that softens the mountains at sunset, the endless fields breathing with wild herbs, the warmth of people who greet you as if you’ve always belonged. Each time I return, I feel a little closer to the island, as though it’s patiently inviting me to stay. Slowly, I am moving my heart and my life here, drawn by a love for my father’s place, its rhythms, and the promise of a gentler way of living.

Among the many treasures of Naxos

Kambones 1615 holds a special place in my heart.

This historic home, lovingly restored, is a soul-filled sanctuary, a space where time slows and beauty reveals itself in every detail. Working alongside Sofia, whose vision and devotion to Kambones are nothing short of inspiring, feels like joining hands with the island itself. Together, we share a love for authenticity, for stories told honestly, and for creating weddings that feel as natural as they are unforgettable. It is in places like this, and with people like her, that my dream of living and working in Naxos takes root.

Rooted in Serenity

A Historic Haven

Tucked among olive groves and bathed in the soft Cycladic light, Kambones 1615 feels less like a venue and more like a living memory. This Venetian family home has stood for centuries, its walls carrying whispers of time, its stone floors warmed by countless footsteps, its air alive with the pulse of history.

Every corner tells a story: the old olive press, the cool quiet of the wine cellar, the intimate double chapels where silence feels sacred. There, the pace naturally slows. You notice the way light filters through the windows, the way laughter echoes across the lavender garden, the way the space seems to hold both reverence and joy at once. Kambones has been tended to with love, honoring its past while opening itself to the future.

When a wedding unfolds there, it feels as though the house itself joins in the celebration, adding its centuries of memory to the story being written in the present moment.

Authentic Moments

Crafting Your Own Slow Wedding

If your dream wedding is less about spectacle and more about truth, about simplicity, authenticity, and soul, then Kambones 1615 may feel like a kindred place. It doesn’t just host a celebration, it becomes part of it - a home, a poem, a vessel of memory.

There, you don’t follow a strict timeline. You follow the light as it bends around the tower at golden hour, the laughter that lingers at the long stone table, the breeze that rustles through the olive branches. The day unfolds with its own rhythm, unhurried and alive. This would not be a backdrop designed for show. It’d be history layered with hospitality. Terracotta jars, candlelit corners, the weight of wooden doors and stone floors—all whispering stories without needing words.

As a documentary photographer, I like to listen - to the footsteps echoing in quiet hallways, to the brush of wind against a bride’s hair, to the warmth of hands joined in promise. Kambones guides me, and through it, I capture moments and feelings of being fully present - here and now - in love.

The beauty of Kambones is in its invitation to connect. To move freely with your people. To toast under the marble mountains. To dance under and with the moon. The house holds you in its embrace, allowing you to sink into what matters most.

There is no place I'd rather create & photograph than among the lavender-scented air of Kambones - where love is simple and true.
